There are other places in Alaska where photographers can get close to grizzly bears, but some are difficult to get permits for and others have tight restrictions on what visitors can or cannot do.

Bald Eagles Are A Common Sight

Remembering the old axiom, "Man does not live by bears alone," a variety of other subjects are close at hand.  Swans nest on a nearby lake, bald eagles are everywhere and puffins are only a short boat ride away.  The snow-covered summits of the volcanoes Iliamna and Redoubt tower above the horizon, and the grandeur of the Alaskan wilderness is all around.

We won't be roughing it in this wilderness either, comfortable lodge rooms and exceptional cuisine will be waiting for us to return from a long day of composing award-winning photos.  As with all of our tours, the price includes transportation (from Anchorage), lodging (double), meals, instruction and critique.
